TRAVERSE CITY CHILDREN/TEEN THEATRE

Traverse City Children/Teem Theatre will host two actor/directors from the Missoula Children's Theatre for the fifth time. The association has been so beneficial for both TCCT and the approximately 300 budding actors who have participated. This year the play will be TALES OF HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN. A self-centered emporer, a duckling that doesn't fit in, a bouquet of magical flowers, and a girl no taller that your thumb are a few of the characters they will be looking for in this musical adaptation of some of the tales by Hans Christian Andersen. The little red truck will arrive from Missoula, Montana with everything that is needed to put on the play. All school age children are invited to audition on Monday August 12 from 10:00am to 12 noon. The auditions will be held off site, probably at St. Francis School. Fifty to sixty actors will be chosen for the various parts. A whirlwind week of rehearsal and workshops will follow at the Old Town Playhouse. The play will be performed two times on Saturday August 18. It is an experience not to be missed. Pre-enrollment is suggested but tuition will be paid After auditions.
